Park Description: Danville's skate park, constructed as a community effort in memory of teenager Philip Wyatt, contains 8800 square feet of 6ft-3ft quarter pipes, grind boxes, rails, a half pyramid and much more.

Initial Membership Fee is $5.00. Daily Admission is $3.00. Membership is required to skate. The skate park is also available for private rentals during non-operating hours.

The skate park is located in Dan Daniel Memorial Park off Route 29 Bypass. There on signs for Dan Daniel Park on the highway. The entrace to the Dan Daniel Park is just off the exit. Follow the road into the park and the skate park is on your left.

RULES & REGULATIONS

·All skaters must have a valid membership card with them at
all times.

·Skaters must wear helmets and have them properly fastened at all times. Knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist supports are highly recommended.

·Skate boards, inline skates, and roller skates must have polyurethane wheels and be in good working condition. No bicycles are allowed inside the skate park. (Except at times specially designated by Danville Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department staff.)

·Only one skater is allowed on a ramp at a time.

·Take turns - Respect your fellow skaters.

·Skate smart; Reckless or dangerous bikers will be requested to leave the premises immediately.

·No drugs, alcohol, profanity, or fighting will be tolerated. Violators will be turned over to the police.

·Graffiti is not allowed. Violators will be suspended. All stickers must be pre-approved and placed where indicated by the staff.

·Do not move the ramps. Any changes to the design or ramps must be pre-approved by Danville Parks, Recreation & Tourism staff.

·Music and sound devices are not allowed.

·Food and beverages must be kept outside of the fence.

·Place trash in proper receptacle. Keep your park clean!

·No trespassing or loitering on the premises when skate park is closed.

·All injures are to be reported to the supervisor immediately. IN THE CASE OF SERIOUS INJURY, DO NOT MOVE THE INJURED PERSON. ALL ACTIVITY SHALL CEASE IMMEDIATELY.
