| CORTLAND
SKATEPARK RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. All participants
must wear a helmet (buckled) at all times while in the skatepark.
2. All participants
must be fully clothed.
3. Pads are recommended,
but are not required.
4. All participants
must register and fill out required paperwork. (If under 18, a parent
waiver is required.)
5. The Skateboard
Park will be open during designated hours. If a member is caught skating
while the facility is closed, their membership will be revoked (without
refund).
6. Obscene or abusive
language will not be tolerated.
7. Alcohol, drugs,
and cigarette smoking are not permitted on the premises.
8. A season's pass
($20.00) may be purchased at the Youth Bureau. You must be a county
resident to purchase a season's pass.
9. A day pass may
be purchased at the skatepark for $2.00. A residency is not a requirement
for day passes.
10. Season passes
must be presented each time you use the facility. There will be a $1.00
charged for duplicate passes.
11. In the event
of inclement weather, the park will be closed.
12. Skateboards
are to be used in designated areas only.
13. The skateboard
facility is open to in line skaters and 20 inch bikes as well as skateboards.
14. Hours of operation:
SCHOOL YEAR Monday - Friday 3:00 - dusk
Saturday & Sunday 12:00 - dusk
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS 12:00 - dusk
SUMMER Monday - Sunday 12:00 - dusk
15. Skaters and
bikers under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
16. If a participant
does not have the skill level needed to use the equipment, it is the
discretion of the supervisor to determine if that participant can skate
the equipment.
Warning: Skateboarding,
rollerblading and biking are hazardous recreational activities. Use
of this facility may result in death, paralysis, brain damage, concussion,
broken bones or other serious injury. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
