Park Rules:
WELCOME!
To ensure all participants have a fun and enjoyable experience at the
skate park please obey the following rules and regulations.
WARNING!
Skateboarding and skating are hazardous recreational activities. Use
may result in serious injury. Any use is at your own risk. The City
of Jefferson does not assume any responsibility for injuries.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
It is strongly recommended that all users wear HELMETS,
KNEEPADS and ELBOW PADS to minimize personal injuries.
GENERAL
GUIDELINES
- Skateboards
and skates only - bicycles and foot traffic NOT permitted
- Please observe
park hours - 7 a.m. to 11p.m. It shall be unlawful for any person
to enter or remain on the premises outside the hours posted.
- Please keep
all glass containers, food and beverages away from the skating surface.
- Additional obstacles
or other materials (ramps/jumps) may not be used at the facility.
- Pets are not
allowed in the skate park area.
- Alcohol, tobacco
and drugs are prohibited.
MAINTAINING
YOUR SKATE PARK
- All participants
are responsible for keeping the skate park safe and litter free. Please
dispose of litter in proper waste containers. Failure to do so will
result in the closing of the skate park.
- Please keep
noise to a minimum. Help protect your skate park from graffiti and
abuse.
- Report any maintenance
concerns to the Park Resources Division (573) 634-6486. Messages may
be left 24 hours a day.
PLEASE
REMEMBER
- Skate with safety
in mind and remember weather conditions may create unsafe surfaces
for skating.
- Always be aware
of fellow skaters - maintain proper traffic flows and make sure all
equipment is clear of skaters before approaching.
THE PARKS
AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO:

Close
the facility for any circumstances deemed necessary.

Restrict
entry to the facility and to ask persons to leave the skate park
if any of the rules are not followed, or if unsafe behavior is
observed.
SERIOUS INJURIES
-
In case of serious injury or other emergency, call 911, no coins
required.

The skate park is located in Washington Park, 1019 Louisiana Avenue.

The free public phone is located west of the skate park.
